The latest case of book drama has hit a personal cord for me. I've seen a few people bring up this white woman trademarking a phrase created and popularized by Black women as colonizer shit, and as someone with an MA in Post-colonial Literature, I wholeheartedly agree. This isn't the first time something this ridiculous has happened, and it likely won't be the last.
